Would you like to create stunning impressionistic seascape images from the comfort of your home using a macro lens and a bottle? Learn all about capturing ‘Bottlescapes’ in this exciting new 2 part interactive course taught by award-winning photographer Rachel McNulty.
This course is all about being creative, open minded and having fun taking close-up images of simple objects to create a completely different image. Pre-requisites of the course are that you will have a camera with a macro lens (or a lens that is able to focus very close to the subject) and have a basic knowledge of your camera settings to be able to work in Aperture and Manual modes.
Part 1 - Macro Photography Fundamentals (1.5hrs):
• Interactive on-line session
• Rachel will discuss her thought process to help you understand how you can achieve your own macro seascapes
• Equipment and props needed to create macro seascapes
• Tips for selecting objects to photograph, composition, camera settings and lighting options
• Post-processing techniques using Lightroom
• There will be time during the session to ask questions
Homework!
• Try out your new found skills at home ahead of the second session
Part 2 - Image Critique & Coaching (1hr):
• See each others images for further inspiration
• Opportunity to explore any ideas you have
• Receive constructive feedback from Rachel
Dates:
Part 1 of this course will be on Saturday 1st February 2025 at 2:00-3:30pm (GMT), with Part 2 on Saturday 22nd February 2025 at 2:00-3:00pm (GMT). In between the 2 sessions you will put your new found skills into practice and create your own ‘bottlescapes’ at home, then send them over to Rachel to share and discuss in part 2. SOLD OUT
