Cost: £125 Number of session: 3 Maximum number of participants: 5
Presented by: Abi Coop
Come with me into the world of multiple exposure photography, with flowers as our primary subject. Immersing myself in nature, photographing flowers is my therapy. Slowing down to notice their intricate details brings a sense of calm, as well as awe at the beauty all around us. Multiple exposure photography takes that mindfulness further, allowing me to capture not only how the world looks, but, more importantly, how it feels. It pushes the boundaries of my creativity, allowing me to weave together images into art that is truly my own - unique and emotive. In this course, you’ll be encouraged to embrace that same artistic freedom. You’ll not only learn the process of creating multiple exposures, exploring many techniques, but also discover how to compose for strong images and how to transform your results into works of art that reflect your own authentic style.
This course is suitable for photographers of all levels. However, due to its short format, there will only be a brief recap on importing images into Photoshop as layers and using blend modes. We'll briefly touch on creating multiple exposures in-camera, but the main focus will be on achieving stunning results using Photoshop. To get the most from the sessions, we recommend having some prior experience with these techniques before booking. If you’re unsure which foundation courses or one-to-one tuition would be most suitable, please contact Wilde Photography for advice.
The course takes place online over three evening sessions, with recordings available to revisit later. Between sessions, you’ll have the chance to put ideas into practice with short assignments, and there will be space to share your images and engage in supportive group critique.
Part 1: Getting Started with Flower Multiple Exposures (75 mins) - Layering images in Photoshop (transforming, key blending modes for flowers, opacity), perspective multiple exposure techniques (eg. rotation), important considerations for a strong result and how to know if it works. Homework set
Part 2: Creating a Stronger Image (90 mins) - Blur multiple exposure techniques (eg. in/out of focus), composition, further post-processing. Sharing and Feedback
Part 3: Expressing your vision (90 mins) - Non-floral layers, your unique voice, creating a series. Sharing and Feedback
All sessions start at 7.30pm BST
Dates: WEDNESDAYS: 10th June 2026, 17th June 2026, 24th June
New Dates!: TUESDAYS: 6th, 13th and 20th October 2026
